Why Choose Our Wool Bedding?

  • YEAR ROUND COMFORT: Our GOTS Certified organic wool bedding gives you a naturally comfortable night’s sleep that you can count on all year long! Wool provides supreme warmth during the cold months, and cool comfort in the hotter months.
  • REGULATES BODY TEMPERATURE: If you’re a hot and sweaty sleeper, you’ll be pleased to know that wool is naturally breathable, which allows it to regulate heat and moisture so that you can sleep at a perfect sweat-free temperature all night!
  • HYPOALLERGENIC: For those with allergies, wool bedding is naturally resistant to allergens such as mold, mildew, and dust mites.
  • CHEMICAL-FREE: Are you tired of sleeping on fire retardant and other unnatural chemicals? Because wool is a naturally flame retardant material, we do not use any chemicals on our organic wool bedding. Furthermore, our wool is scoured using gentle NPEO-free detergents without bleach.
  • ETHICALLY RAISED SHEEP: If you want some of the highest quality, most ethically grown and produced wool bedding on the market, look no further. Not only do we source our wool from the happiest New Zealand free range, pasture-fed sheep, all of our bedding is also carefully handmade in the United States, and is hand-stuffed to avoid lumps!

NOTE: Because White Lotus Home does not add perfumes, formaldehyde, or dyes to our natural bedding materials, some of our items will retain their natural scent. Free samples of our fibers are available by contacting our sales department by email: theorganicbeddingshop@gmail.com

Care and Cleaning: Pillows, Duvets, and Bedding

Because they made with raw, minimally processed materials, our products cannot be completely submerged in water --- this will damage the fibers inside. Please note that this includes pillows and duvets. Never submerge wool bedding in water or place bedding in the washing machine --- this can cause the wool to irreversibly felt.

We recommend spot cleaning your White Lotus Home pillows, duvets, and bedding with a solution of 3 parts water to one part vinegar. Spray the vinegar solution onto the stain, then expose it to sunlight. Let it dry and repeat until the stain fades and odors dissipate. You can also substitute vinegar with a mild laundry detergent.

For surface stains: use hydrogen peroxide for blood, and use rubbing alcohol to remove oils from cosmetics.

Bedding should not stay damp --- this may encourage uneven wear or mold growth. When bedding is wet, such as from a spill or from cleaning, dry the moisture by placing the bedding item in the sun or by using a hair dryer. Make sure it is completely dry before re-adding sheets or protective covers, such as our Organic Barrier Cloth Covers.

To refresh your wool bedding: We recommend laying it in direct sunlight and air once a month --- sunlight behaves as a natural sanitizer. If you choose to send them to professional cleaners, use a dry-cleaning method only.

Please note that these suggestions are at your own risk. Results may vary.
